About CalWater Solutions

CalWater Solutions was created in direct response to the current water scarcity dilemma here in California by promoting integrated design principles and practices in every project we design, install or retrofit. Currently 82 percent of California is either in an “Extreme Drought (D3)” or “Exceptional Drought (D4)” classification labeled by the National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS) http://www.drought.gov/drought/area/ca.

With a total of almost two decades of heavy construction experience, a civil engineering design career soley focused on hydraulics and hydrology alongside a 6 year sales career mainly serving mid sized and large municipalities, the founder of CalWater Solutions (CWS) saw the need to educate and inspire others about integrated water conservation systems that match the wants and needs of the public, private and commercial industries.

By promoting tried and true water conservation methods used in ancient agricultural societies we empower our customers to maximize their site specific water needs through the integration of form and function in an environmentally conscious manner. We specialize the design, construction and maintenance of Rainwater Harvesting, Low Impact Development (LID) and Greywater re-use systems.

Our Mission:

To provide information and experience regarding the design and installation of rainwater harvesting, greywater re-use and Low Impact Development (LID) system designs, materials and services to the public, private and commercial market place in the Bay Area and surrounding communities.

This is achieved by: Education, community outreach and building public awareness through our consultation and design services as well as the installation and maintenance of every system we develop. Our Rainwater and Greywater harvesting systems are unique to Bay Area cities including San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, Marin, San Rafael, San Mateo, Palo Alto, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, San Jose and Walnut Creek, as we strive to use the most advanced and sustainable local vendors and rainwater catchment systems in the industry.

mission CalWater Solutions recommends that an annual maintenance inspection of the system be provided no matter how big or small. It is our experience that with a continuous feedback loop of design, installation and maintenance that we continue to develop and improve our systems through a constant and rigorous critique of our own work.
